DeKalb County Fair Decorated Hay Contest

Open to any adult or youth in Dekalb County.

Due to size of entries, this category will be entered with perishables on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Hay should be decorated with a good, clean, wholesome theme, with no vulgar decorations and no commercial or political signs! For safety purposes, round bales will not be stacked. Decorations and bales are to be removed on Sunday, July 17th between 2-4 p.m.

Entry Dates and Times

Non-Perishable Items ONLY will be taken in on

Saturday, July 2 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Perishable Items ONLY will be taken in on

Saturday, July 9 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Entries must stay on display throughout the week of the fair.

Entries must be picked up the Sunday following the end of the Fair from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Are you the ultimate Grill Master? Here's your chance to shine!

Fire up your grill and show off your culinary talent at DeKalb County Fair's Grill Off.

Or if you want to put your entertainment skills to the test ...

Pick your songs & sign up! The first round will be held Monday night, July 11. All participants will perform the song of their choice. The second and final round will be held Friday night, immediately following the Toddler Show. At the end of the showdown, a grand-prize winner, along with a first and second places winner will be announced.

Or if you claim to fame is your homemade ice cream ...

We are looking for DeKalb County's best homemade ice cream recipe! Mix up your best frozen treat, and you could be the blue ribbon winner!

Are you a car, truck or motorcycle lover? Then, start your engines and show off your vehicles!

Community members and car enthusiasts are encouraged to attend this fun, family-friendly event.
